Area Map

If you do not have a Football game or Band Competition the days of auditions you must attend the dates posted regardless if you have already auditioned. These extra days will count towards rehearsal time, and will help others in the audition process. Once you are offered a position and commit to IPT you will not be thrown out. You must have valid excuse to miss the scheduled days or you may be denied/revoked membership.

Exhibition line members get FIRST preference to the instruments they with to play/march.

What are we auditioning for?   Auditions will be held to fill out the Competition Ensemble for the 2008 WGI/TCGC Season. The spots we have available are 8 snares, 5 tenors, 5 basses, 3 marimbas, 2 vibes, 1 xylo, 1 bells, 2 aux racks, 1 drumset, 2 electronic keyboards, 1 mallet kat, 1 electric bass.

Cost: 30$ audition fee. This is a one time fee due upon your first Audition date. If you come to more dates you will not have to pay this each time. (we accept cash, and checks, make checks payable to imperial percussion theater). If or when you are offered a position we will need a 100$ commitment dues payment. This will be your first payment of dues. You can lose your spot if someone pays before you. It is a recommendation you have this ready at Auditions (along with the forms signed). Or have a parent available to sign the forms, make payment.

What to Bring: Although not required it is recommended you bring sticks and mallets to ensure you get an equal chance at auditions, we may not have enough to go around. All pit instruments will be on site, as well as bass drums. Snares and Tenors if you would like to bring a set of drums it is recommended for Auditions to ensure you get equal playing time as there may not be enough snares and tenors to accommodate everyone. Battery must bring the printed audition music (warm ups). A good attitude!!!!

Required FORMS for audition: you must have printed, filled out and signed the membership application.  If you are under 18 a parent must sign this!!! You will not be allowed to audition without this. The forms can be found in the message board or downloaded off the web site (go under the members tab and click on forms). It would be a plus to download print and sign all of the forms on the page in case you are offered a position. If you are under 18 all forms must be read and signed by your parents/guardian. If you don’t have the forms filled out and signed you will be asked to leave or have a parent available at the Audition location to sign these forms.

All questions you or your parents have please feel free to contact Jereme Robinson, at JRobinson@imperialpercussion.org, 281-914-6867

All forms, information, and maps may be found at imperialpercussion.org
