Although we will highly encourage our members to be their best at their studies. School will come first and if a parent brings to our attention that member's studies are slacking then arrangements will be made to hold that member from rehearsals for study at home time. School work and functions will come first!!!!Will Drum Corps or High School band conflict?Drum Corps is a summer event which will not affect us. High School band may seldom have conflicts but school activities WILL! come first for that member. How much does it cost? Here is the question that sends parents running. Before you run away please take a moment to consider what the fees are going towards. IPT is a non-profit Texas corporation whose sole funding is from the community. This shall include membership dues and donations. The fees involved are needed to fund:1) Travel expenses to out of state competitions and championships to include bus and hotel expense. 2) Equipment Cost, IPT will fund and own all of its equipment. This is to include all drums, keyboards, cymbals, and accessories. 3) Insurance. It is too cheap not to have it. The member and their instrument will be insured. 4) Repairs. Equipment will need repair and maintenance to include drum heads, and parts. 5) Uniforms. The member dues will include a Group t-shirt but show uniforms will be designed to the cheapest benefit for the show and members. The show uniform expenses will not be included in members dues but uniform expenses should not exceed $30. Exhibition Line dues TBA but should be around $250, Competition Line dues TBA but should be around $600. We will offer fundraisers for the members although they should not be relied upon for the sole source of funds. We will encourage the members to seek donations and self sponsors. If you feel you are financially unable to make payments when they are due please do not hesitate to consult with a director. We would be more than happy to make other arrangements and or payment plans. We feel finances shall not keep a qualified person or persons from being involved. Once our organization is in full swing we will offer scholarships for members to tryout and use those funds to march.
